5 years with Jesus

today is a monumentally important day for me. 5 years ago exactly I was a freshman at the University of Oklahoma. I was lost- completely lost. No major, no anchor, no certainty. My life consisted of eating as little as possible, dating as much as capable and filling every spare second of my time so I wouldnt have to be alone- thinking about the void in my heart. Alone- so alone.

Oh, how He has changed me!

April 25th, 2003. Although He had chosen me before the world was created- that is the day He chose to show Himself. To save me. To come riding in on His white horse, pick me up in His Arms and whisper, "you are mine, I'm jealous for your heart, time and affections. No more of this, Tania- today, and for life eternal you are Mine."

Who can resist the call of The Lord?

I could not. If you know the story of how I became saved that day- you will know what I mean when I say He called, I resisted. He called, I fled in sheer terror. He called, I crumbled, broke down, feel to my knees and became His. If you dont know my salvation experience- you might not believe me! It is a tale so large, wonderous and incredible that I can't believe it happened.

But it did. I am His.

What an adventure we starred on that day 5 years ago my Lord! You stood beside me as I fought for us in front of my parents who still do not know you or understand. You wiped my tears as my "party friends" turned their backs one by one. And you were there always- preserving my innocence and purity to give to my husband no matter how many times I tried to give it away. Thank you for knowing not only my old self and the current but the woman I would become in you. You are so Gracious and Wise Jesus!!

On this day, our 5 year anniversary I re-commit my life and love to You. Use me for what You will, take me where you desire, break me, build me stronger in You.

Take my heart, let it be only always all for Thee.

I am my Beloveds and He is mine. Be Glorified.

Strawberries & bouquets

Hello my Lovelies! :)

Sorry so long!

Terrible blogger...not that anyone really reads this! I definitely need to step my game up! :)

I will do better.

This is going to be a short one- I have a fantastic bed and book waiting. Can't wait. (closet nerd alert!)

So I went to Shreveport the weekend before last with my mom, dad and grandparents. We had fun (I am a terrible gambler- way too greedy, thus I lose!) but the BEST part was when my mom and I came up to the hotel room and I had chocolate covered strawberries waiting for me! From Scott!! Who was nowhere NEAR Shreveport!! Wow. My heart actually beat harder and my pupils dilated (So my mom says) and I had a crazy aching to be in this man's arms.

So this is what love is supposed to feel like.

How different from the passionate, fleeting, jealous, impure, lustful love that we are taught to look for. How pure, holy and....right this is. It's breathtaking and amazing to know that Jesus is behind it all. Without him...we simply wouldn't BE.

THIS past weekend Scott and I were so crazy busy! We went to Relay for Life (an awesome cause! and THANK YOU for those of you who donated, ya'll are amazing!) until 4 am, crashed and then hit up Mindy's wedding.

It was so fun- beautiful, pure, Christ-centered! She made an incredible bride. I have a lot to live up to.

Since Mindy and her man are both Asian we got to have a really fun 10 course Asian meal- we even got the chopstick thing down (well...at least I did!!)
We had a total blast hanging out with work people- and the kicker was I caught the bouquet (number two since we've been together!) and he caught the garter. Hmmm....what's up with that? :)
Oh and we danced a bunch- so fun!!! :)
So that was exciting. Then we went to Scott's dad's church Sunday morning- it was their one year anniversary of being a church! Yay Keystone! :) It was so cool- I got to meet so many nice people- hopefully I can remember every one's names!! :)
Finally- I am super excited that MELISSA is coming over for Chilli/LOST/Girls Night tomorrow. We are busting out a bottle of wine and some ground up dead cow straight from my ma and pa's ranch! Tee hee. Yum, number one!
Aren't we adorable together? Scarborough Renaissance festival was a MUST-DO. But don't expect to look as cute as us, thanks! :)
Mwah mwah,
